Police treating Michael Jackson's death as homicide

There is ‘plenty of powerful evidence’

The Los Angeles Police Department is treating King of Pop Michael Jackson's death as homicide, a media report said on Wednesday (July 15).

The entertainment website TMZ.com citing "multiple law enforcement sources" said evidence points to Propofol, an anesthesia, as the primary cause of the pop star's death. Vials of Propofol were found in Jackson's home after he died.

The law enforcement sources said there is "plenty of powerful evidence" linking doctor Conrad Murray as the person who gave Propofol to Jackson.

Meanwhile, never-before-seen footage of the 1984 Pepsi commercial where a faulty pyrotechnic caught Michael Jackson's hair on fire has just been released, according to the website.

The gossip blogosphere says this could be what instigated Jackson's widely reported painkiller addiction.

yeah i heard about this. supposedly now they have his entire death caught on tape; a doctor hid something from the media, police and doctors and the evidence was removed from the home...

while others are suggesting michael is still alive. their arguments are pretty effective and reasonable however it still leaves an open end loose, michael jackson would never do this to his kids and pretend to have died....

^ his name is Omer I think... he is meant to by Jacksons oldest son. But they are doing paternal DNA testing to confirm the claims. Wait lemme get you the article.

Omer Bhatti had a front-row seat at singer's memorial

Late pop legend Michael Jackson is rumoured to have a fourth child, Omer Bhatti, who was given a front-row seat at the singer's memorial service earlier this month.

Norwegian dancer Bhatti, 25, is thought to be the "Billie Jean" singer's child from a one-night stand, reports imdb.com.

Jackson, who passed away on June 25, is said to have admitted to friends in 2004 he was his father. Bhatti is now believed to be seeking a DNA test to determine if he is a descendent of the King of Pop.

The performer was given a front-row seat at Jackson's memorial service July 7 at the Los Angeles Staples Center, sitting next to the star's brothers and sisters, fuelling speculation he is related to the pop icon.

Although Bhatti's mother Pia and her husband Riz, who have worked for Jackson, refuse to talk about the star, Pia said Tuesday: "He was the King of Pop. But to us he was so much more."

Bhatti also lived at Jackson's Neverland ranch home for several years from 1997, and video footage exists of him unwrapping presents with the singer and playing with a toddler, believed to be one of the "Thriller" hitmaker's other children - Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11 and Prince Michael II, also known as 'Blanket', seven.

The dancer was also at Neverland, in California, when police raided the property to investigate child molestation allegations in 2003.

Bhatti first met Jackson in Tunisia in 1996 aged 12, and impressed him with his dance moves. He has since performed with the "Smooth criminal" singer in public and worked in a Jackson tribute act across the globe.

The dancer's stepfather Riz is believed to have worked as a driver for Jackson while his mother is thought to have been a nanny.

Meanwhile, police and federal agents on Wednesday (July 22) raided the Houston offices of Jackson's personal doctor Conrad Murray, in a search for medical records they believed would constitute evidence of manslaughter, the doctor's lawyer said.

Murray was the personal physician who was with Jackson when the entertainer died suddenly of cardiac arrest last month at age of 50. Attention focused on the doctor in the immediate aftermath of Jackson's death when he dropped out of sight just as Jackson's family and investigators were seeking more information on the pop legend's last hours.

Though the results of a coroner's report are yet to be released, attention is focused on the hospital anesthetic Propofol, a strictly controlled drug usually administered intravenously that can easily cause cardiac arrest if not properly administered. The results of a private autopsy carried out on behalf of the Jackson family have also not been revealed.

News reports said that up to a dozen agents of the Drug Enforcement Agency entered the Murray's medical office, armed with a search warrant, looking for medical records.

"The search warrant authorised law enforcement to search for and seize items, including documents, they believed constituted evidence of the offence of manslaughter," Ed Chernoff, Murray's attorney, said in a statement posted on his law firm's web site.

In an earlier statement, Chernoff said that Murray did not prescribe any drugs that may have caused the singer's death but that the investigators were seeking Jackson's medical records.

"The coroner wants to clear up the cause of death, we share that goal," he said. "We don't have access to the most important information in this case, the toxicology report. We're still in the dark like everybody else."

Chernoff said that Murray's detailed description of Michael Jackson's last days should not make him a target of criminal charges.

"Dr Murray was the last doctor standing when Michael Jackson died and it seems all the fury is directed toward him," Chernoff said.

Police questioned Murray twice since Jackson's death and seized his car from the rented mansion where Jackson died, but clarified that he is not a suspect.

The raid came as Sony Pictures paid some $60 million for footage shot during Jackson's final rehearsals for his comeback concert engagement in London, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film will be released on October 30 and will include several videos that were shot and meant to be shown during the concerts, including an alternative version of Jackson's most famous video, "Thriller".

"High School Musical" director Kenny Ortega, who shot the rehearsal footage, is expected to become the director of the film, which could be released before year's end.

and as per the latest news. its confirmed, his death was a homocide.
the doctor should not have given him a different medicine every hour the night before his death. jackson couldnt fall asleep so the doctor gave him anything of lower doses to help him. and then he gave him the final installment, propofol. hours later, after the doctor returned michael was already dead.
these tiny installments of medicine, and the final led to Michael's death. and on top of that the doctors who were being paid $150,000 a month for these drugs that are NOT behind the counter or out of the hospital, helped Michael kill himself.
it is true, people will do anything for money. =/
