Was he meant to be the three girls' dad?

Coz I don't see what other reason he had to blackmail Ila ji, plus in their talks they did mention Damini, and that Damini might recognise him... confused

I was thinking he is and Ila ji plotted to kill him.. Prithvi's dad came in between so she found an easier way out of covering the truth by blaming him. (perhaps - just my thinking)

You know what I think guys! I think Damini killed him in a fit of anger, we know that Damini is extremely over-protective about her family and also that she always carries a gun.

Maybe Ila Gujral wanted to save her daughter and thus blamed Prithvi's dad? Unsure

If this is true, then I wonder what effect it will have on Damini-Prithvi relationship?
