Hello Friends..
This is my very first post in the SM Forum and i am quite exicted :Dance: but little tensed :think: : : .Hope i am posting in the right forum and not violating any rules or else..I will be a dead duck!  ...
Now recently NDTV a well known news channel in India named the TOP SEVEN WONDERS of India based on people's vote .They first selected places from all over India from natural wonders to man made structures and then from among these the Top Seven Wonder named, in the function held in Delhi last week..
So lets see ,the Seven wonders of India..
Number 1 : Jaisalmer Fort(Rajasthan) : the Only living fort of India
Number 2 : Nalanda Vishvidyla(Bihar) : One of the Oldest university of the world
Number 3 : Red fort (Delhi) : made by the Mughal ruler Shahjehan is the place from where our Prime Minsiter hoist the national flag and addresses India on Republic day.
Number 4 : Sun Temple (Konark,Orissa) The only temple where worshipping is not allowed ,this is the temple of God Sun and is adjacent to Kalinga field where Asohka fought his last battle ,the Kalinga war.
Number 5 : Meenakshi Temple(Madurai,Tamilnadu) [/b]
Number 6 : Dholavira from indus valley civilisation ,an ancient city .
Number 7 : Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh) made by Chandela dynasty

Why is worshipping not allowed at the sun temple? ':-?'

Oh worshipping is not allowed becuase when it was being built a little boy had died or something of this sort  happend...
