Telly ministry Vandana Shukla/ Hill Road Media
Elections are just around the corner and with the small screen ruling the hearts of the viewers already, we imagine the elections being held in the television world and elect our own set of stars to fill the required ministries.
President: Dadi sa of Balika Vadhu
Dadi sa played by Surekha Sikri on Balika Vadhu (Colors) fits best to this post. She has an excellent command over the entire family and rules everyone. Right from her grandson to her grand daughter-in-law, she keeps everyone on their toes. She is responsible for every single decision taken in the family.
Home Minister: Sumitra of Balika Vadhu
Sumitra of Balika...(Colors), portrayed by Smita Bansal, is the only name that comes to mind when we think of someone who takes proper care of the family. Sumitra takes care of everyone’s sentiments and helps out in every possible way she can.
She is a perfect homemaker; a combination of a good wife, a good daughter-in-law, mother and mother-in-law. Hence, she is perfect for this post.
Leader of Opposition: Sindoora of Dulhan
It is a well known fact that Sindoora of Dulhan (Zee TV), played by Kamya Punjabi, has a huge fan following. That’s the reason she was brought back to the show after her character’s death. She is the most popular vamp on the small screen today.
Sindoora doesn’t miss a single opportunity to wreck havoc when it comes to Divya and Amar. With so many reasons in hand, Sindoora cannot be deprived of this post!
Defence Minister: Dharmaraj of Bandini
Ronit Roy, who is currently seen playing Dharmaraj in Bandini (NDTV Imagine), is very stern and strict. Apart from being the head of the family, Dharmaraj is the sarpanch of the entire village. He plays a disciplined man who is very firm with his principles.
He gets very defensive when it comes to his family as well as the village. With all these qualities, who can fit this criterion better than him?
Finance Minister: Sanjeev Seth of Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
Sanjeev Seth plays Akshara’s father Vishambhar Nath in Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus), and would be apt for the job of Finance Minister. A businessman by profession, he manages the family’s money. And not just any family – this one has 13 members. And since daughter Akshara will soon start a family of her own, he’s sure to have his hands full.
Health Minister: Dr. Armaan of Dil Mil Gaye
Dr. Armaan (Karan Singh Grover) of Dil Mil Gaye (Star One) is the first name which crosses our minds when we think about anything related to health. But considering he is more of a ‘Dil Ka Doctor’ nowadays, flirting with Dr. Ridhima, some may be opposed. It really is high time this doctor saab realizes that he is a doctor and should pay more attention to his patients rather than his girlfriend.
Education Minister: Saloni of Saat Phere
Saloni, portrayed by Rajshri Thakur in Saat Phere (Zee TV), is forever giving unnecessary ‘gyaan’ to everyone around her. Regardless of age, she keeps lecturing the entire family and now that she is the mother of two sweet daughters, her responsibilities have increased to an even greater extent.
Information and Broadcast Minister: Malti Bhabhi of Bidaai
Ashita Dhawan, who plays Malti Bhabhi in Bidaai (Star Plus), cannot be spared from this post as she is the one who specialises in creating a mountain of a molehill. She is an expert in engineering misunderstandings between the members of the family and acts as a proper ‘chugalkhor’ by spreading unnecessary information.
