Sumit goes near Kumkum, who was sitting in the cafeteria...

Sumit : Kumkum...

Kumkum : Tum yahan...?... tum andar kaise aaye?... bina ID ke..?

Sumit : Aaj shaayad tumhare college mein competition hai... jisme doosre colleges ke log aa rahe hain.. unhi ke saath.. ab kya karun?... tum na to mujhse mil rahi ho... na baat kar rahi ho... tumhare hostel to aa nahi sakta... to yehi ek raasta tha.. Kumkum hua kya hai?.. tum... tum aise kyun behave kar rahi ho?

Kumkum : Kaise... ?? M fine... Aur hum dono mein kaunsi itni gehri dosti hai... ki roz milna zaruri ho...

Sumit : Kumkum tum aise kyun bol rahi ho??...

Kumkum : kaise Sumit...?.. tum kya keh rahe ho... mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha.. Neways tumhe aur kuch kaam ho to bolo.. warna mujhe class jaana hai...

Sumit : Ohh really.. aaj ke din to zarur tumhari class hogi...hmmm?

Kumkum is quiet...

Sumit is about to say something... when his mobile rings...

Sumit : Hello... haan.. (he luks at Kumkum).. hmm..(smiles) Luv u...

When he says this, Kumkum looks at him and quickly looks down.. Sumit was noticing this... he smiles...

Sumit : Bye... take care..

Kumkum (almost in tears.. but holds them back..luking down) : Tanuja???...

Sumit (luking at her) : Hmm... aaj uske ghar pe ek function hai.. chalogi?

Kumkum (surprised) : Main..???... Main kyun?... wo tumhari dost hai... to main..

Sumit : Usne khud invite kiya hai...

Kumkum (confused) : Mujhe..??... Par..

Sumit : Theek sham 7 baje main hostel ke baahar tumhara intezaar karunga...

He is about to go...

Kumkum : Main nahi jaongi...

Sumit : Late mat hona...

Saying this he gets up and moves...

Kumkum : Sumit...

Sumit (turns... and cuts her in between) : Aur haan... kuch traditional pehnna... function hi aisa hai.. and yes main jaanta hun aaj Saturday hai to hostel se tum nikal sakti ho... night out leke.. raat mein tanu ke ghar hi ruk jaana...

Saying this he leaves... Kumkum is confused, surprised and angry...

Kumkum (to herself) : Yeh ... yeh samjhta kya hai khud ko... main kyun jaongi.. main nahi jaongi kabhi nahi kabhi nahi.....

“Par kyun????” Sudha said this..

Kumkum was in the washroom.. Sudha goes near the door and yells at her..

Sudha : Mujhe samajh nahi aata... ki uske dost ke function mein tu kyun jaa rahi hai?.. aur... aur pehle tune khud ne manaa kiya tha naa..

Kumkum comes out...

Kumkum : Yeh bhi achcha nahi lag raha...

Saying this she keeps the dress back in the cupboard... and starts looking for another one..

Sudha : Xcuse me... Main deewaron se baat nahi kar rahi... Tu sun rahi hai naa..

Kumkum : haan baba... maine hi kaha tha.. par Tanuja ka khud phone aaya mere pass.. uski mummy ne bulaya... ab bhi manaa karungi to achcha nahi lagega naa..

Sudha : Kumkum.. tu saaf saaf kyun nahi kehti ki tu Sumit ko us Tanuja ke saath akele nahi chodna chahti..hmmm??

Kumkum stops choosing dress... but then snaps out..

Kumkum : Nahi... aisa kuch nahi hai... Yeh Sumit ki zindagi hai.. jiske saath rehna chahe reh sakta hai.. aur.. mujhe... mujhe kyun fark padne laga...??? Mera mann hai isliye jaa rahi hun... aur waise bhi tu apne LGs(local guardians) ke yahan jaa rahi hai... to main do din yahan akele bore ho jaongi..

Sudha : Hunnhh.. tu sach maanegi nahi... kya faayda.. Jo karna hai kar...

Sumit, in a blue sherwani,... is waiting outside the hostel... near his jeep..

Sumit : umm... kahin aisa to nahi hai ki... wo sach mein nahi aayegi... kab se wait kar raha hun... nau baj gaye...

Saying this he turns towards his jeep... and bends his head... then he feels something... n slowly turns and looks that infont of him.. Kumkum was standing... luking very beautiful in a blue-green lehnga..

Sumit keeps luking at her... Kumkum, blushing, moves towards him and comes near him...

Kumkum : Chalein...

Sumit doesn’t answer, instead continues luking at her...

Kumkum : Sumit...

Sumit snaps out...

Kumkum : Chalein..????

Sumit : haan... haan...

He moves towards his side and Kumkum sits in... and then they drive off..

Both of them are quiet on their way to Tanuja’s house... but the struggle continued in their minds... to know what the other one is thinking... n also struggling with their own emotions...

Sumit (thinks on looking at her) : Main jaanta hun tum kya soch rahi ho...

Kumkum (looking outside the window and thinking) : Na kuch soch paa rahi hun... na kuch samajh aa raha hai... main kya kar rahi hun? Kyun kar rahi hun?...

Sumit (thinking) : Kya karun itna waqt hi nahi tha ki tumhe kuch samjha sakun... Ya shaayad koi darr tha...

Kumkum (thinking) : Mujhe darr sa kyun lag raha hai?.. Aaj kya hone waala h?.. Main Sumit ke saath kyun ja rahi hun?.. Isliye ki main Sumit ko apni aankhon ke saamne rakhna chahti hun... aur Tanuja ko use door...

Sumit (thinking) : Tannu ne mere liye jo kiya h.. wo main zindagi bhar nahi bhula paonga..

Kumkum (thinking) : Meri zindagi ka agla mod kya hoga.. main khud nahi jaanti... pehle meri life mein sab kuch saaf tha... ki mujhe kya karna hai... aur ab.. ab kal to door.. main aaj kya kar rahi hun iska bhi pata nahi...

Sumit (thinking) : Bas ek baar pata chal jaaye ki Kumkum ke dil mein kya hai... kashhh ... Tannu ki baat sahi ho jaye..

Kumkum (thinking) : Tanuja aur Sumit agar ek doosre ko chahte hain.. to main kaun hoti hun beech mein aane wali.. Meri feelings ke liye main kisi aur ka relation nahi bigaad sakti... kabhi nahi..

The car stops... But Kumkum is lost.. Sumit calls her..

Sumit : Kumkum... Kumkum...

Kumkum snapping out : Hunhhh.. Hmmm.. kuch kaha...

Sumit : haan.. wo hume jahan jaana tha.. hum aa gaye wahan...

Kumkum looks outside the window... and sees a decorated place... then she looks at Sumit..

Kumkum : Sumit... Mujhe shaayad nahi aana chahiye tha yahan... I mean main kyun...

Sumit (cutting her off) : Plzz Kumkum... abhi kuch mat poocho.. Plzz... Andar chalein..

Kumkum keeps looking at him... Sumit slowly moves out of the car and then opens the door at her side... Kumkum slowly comes out and stands still thinking and lost...

Tanuja and her mother comes...

Tanuja : Sumit kahan reh gaye the... jaldi chalo.. ohh wow.. Kumkum tum bhi aayi ho...thanku for coming... (turning towards Sumit) Sumit pata hai.. aaj dad shaayad hamari engagement announce kar den...

Kumkum is shocked... Tanuja and Sumit smile n hug each other...

“Kumkum... Kumkum...”

Kumkum snaps out from her dream... and finds Sumit standing there, calling her name and holding her arm...

Sumit : Kahan kho gayi thi? Kab se bula raha hun... Chalo andar...

Kumkum (in tears) : Nahi... Mujhe nahi jaana.. main jaa rahi hun..

She turns to go, Sumit catches her hand...

Sumit : Kumkum... Plzz.. andar to chalo... (slowly) mere liye...

Kumkum turns to say something, when Tanuja comes with her mother...

Tanuja : Hey Sumit... itni der laga di... kahan the hmmm??? Hey Kumkum...

Then she hugs Sumit..

Tanuja : Ab yahan kyun khade ho... Chalo andar...(luking at Kumkum) Aaaaoooo... Sorry lemme introduce u with my mum.. Mamma.. shez Kumkum...I told u about her... aapki baat bhi to hui thin a isse.. phone pe.. remember...

Tanu’s mum : Hello beta... aao na andar... Tannu.. ab andar chalo.. and at least aaj to thoda sharmao... kyun Sumit...

Tannu (making a face) : Ohh c’mn mum.. u know I can’t change... Shaadi pe bhi aisi hi raungi...

Her mother hits her playfully and she giggles...

Tannu : Kumkum, aaj engagement hai .. sorry card nahi de paayi naa.. Par I told Sumit ki tumhe lekar hi aana hai.. and that’s why I called u.. Haan shaadi ka card zarur pohunch jaayega... Kyun Sumit?

Sumit smiles... Kumkum keeps luking at them...

Tannu : Ab andar bhi chalo... Kumkum mujhse to mil hi li.. ab jiske saath engagement hai use bhi to mil lo...

Kumkum (confused) : M.. main kuch samjhi nahi...

Tannu : Wo..

When someone comes and blindfolds her from back...

Tannu (smiling) : Karan...

A handsome guy comes and stands beside her...

Tannu : Kumkum.. yeh hai Karan... My fiancé.. but before that mera aur Sumit ka bachpan ka dost...

Saying this she luks at Karan..

Karan : Hello..

Kumkum is pleasantly surprised... she luks at Sumit.. who was smiling luking at them and then slowly luks at Kumkum...

Tannu : Ahem ahem... Xcuse me.. aap dono kya chahte hain... ki meri engagement party mein main hi na jaon... hmm??? Chalo andar chup chaap...

Karan takes Sumit in and Tanuja and Kumkum were coming inside together..

Tannu : Kumkum...

Kumkum stops... and luks at her...

Tannu : Main jaanti hun ki tumhare dil mein kya h?...

Kumkum : Matlab..

Tannu : Main Sumit ki baat kar rahi hun... aaj jo tumne socha wo sach nahi hua... par kal ko yeh sach ho jaye, bohut der ho jaaye... sach ko maan lo...

Saying this she smiles and moves in..

Kumkum is left thinking.. her moments with Sumit and then Tanuja’s words...

Kumkum : Par main Sumit ko jaanti hi kitna hun?.. Lekin fir bhi...

Then she hears some announcement and moves in..

She sees Tanuja and Karan standing on stage.. and exchanging rings...

She smiles and applauds along with others.. but her eyes kept searching for Sumit.. she couldn’t see him anywhere..

Then lights go away.. and we see... Spot light on someone playing guitar... It’s Sumit... everyone cheers.. and then lights come...

The song begins... Some girls dancing...

Kumkum moves towards other side... smiling n blushing.. and goes n stands near Tanuja...

Tu hawa, main zameen.. tu jahan main waheen Jab ude mujhe leke kyun udti nahi.. Tu ghata, main zameen.. tu kahin main kahin Kyun kabhi mujhe leke barasti nahi..

Saying this Sumit comes a lil closer to her.. but Kumkum moves away.. and the other singer starts singing...

Zara sa saanwra hai wo, zara sa baanwra hai wo.. wo surme ki tarah meri aankhon mein hi rehta hai..

Kumkum looks at Sumit and blushes again... and Sumit continues singing again...

Subah ke khaab se udayi hai.. palkon ke neeche chupaayi hai... maano na maano tum sote sote khaabon mein bhi khaab dikhati hai...

pari hai wo pari ki kahaniyan sunati hai...

Kumkum is sitting near Tanuja and talking to her mother, too... While talking Kumkum sticks her tongue out and smiles cutely... Sumit is looking at her...

Then continues singing..

jab daant mein ungli dabaye ya ungli pe natal pitaaye.. baadal yeni chadta jaaye.. Hooo..

The other singer sings...

Kuch karke wo baat ko taale .. jab maathe pe wo bal dale.. ambar yeh sukadta jaaye Hoo...

Sumit then sits near Karan and sings looking at Kumkum in between ... again n again.. while Kumkum simply blushed... and looked down...

Wo jab naakhun kutarti hai.. to chanda ghatne lagta hai.. wo paani par kadam rakkhe... saagar bhi hat jaata hai...

Subah ke khaab se udayi hai.. palkon ke neeche chupaayi hai... maano na maano tum sote sote khaabon mein bhi khaab dikhati hai...
